For four decades, The Banquet meal ministry has been a beacon of hope in Sioux Falls. It all began in 1985 when the dedicated congregation of First Church stepped up to serve one meal a month. Their commitment deepened in 2015 when The Banquet expanded its dinner service to a building at the W.H. Lyons Fairgrounds. Without hesitation, the compassionate members of First Church once again offered their support, immediately committing to serve dinner once a month.

Today, First Church continues to play a vital role, preparing, serving, and funding two meals each month at The Banquet. While the number of guests can fluctuate, they consistently serve over 250 individuals per meal. This enduring legacy of service, spanning 40 years, is a testament to the unwavering generosity of those who faithfully contribute their time and resources.

On the 2nd Tuesday, we fund, cook & serve a hot dinner at the Banquet West location. Volunteers are always needed.

Cooks arrive at 2 pm, and Servers arrive at 5:15.
